Sourdough Bread Making

Learn the age-old tradition of sourdough breadmaking in this hands-on workshop. We will mix, knead, and shape loaves to taste and take home. We’ll also discuss the science of fermentation, which gives sourdough its notable flavor and texture. Participants will go home with sourdough starter and the skills to make sourdough bread at home. Open to age 12 or older with an adult. Fee applies to all participants. Registration is required.

Celebrate midwinter with local fare! Enjoy delicious homemade stews made from Drumlin Farm-raised meats and veggies, accompanied by hearty breads and a variety of beer from local breweries including Jack’s Abby, Rapscallion, and Saltbox Brewery. Enhance your meal's flavor as you learn about neighborhood brews and how they share our sustainable farming mission. Cheers! Registration is required.

We will be featuring Drumlin Farm-raised meat as well as vegetables from our root cellar (including an all-vegetarian stew). This is a perennial favorite at Drumlin Farm and space is limited, so please sign up early! Open to age 21 or older. Drumlin Farm is committed to the concept of eating locally, eating well, and supporting sustainable lifestyles. By learning more about our food - how it is grown, where it comes from, and how to prepare it - we increase our understanding of sustainability, stewardship, and the relationship between us, our food choices and the environment. We aim to encourage discussion and offer opportunities to share and have a good time while becoming more informed about food, farming, and the environment. Please bring an ID to show to our bartender. Registration is required.
