No cover. Wear green. Drink happy.

After the festival, head back toward MetroWest for dinner at Owen O’Leary’s Restaurant & Brew Pub. Known for great food and delicious in-house brewed beers, it’s the perfect spot to recap the day’s highlights over hearty fare and a fresh pint.

Take a scenic drive to visit the Milford Irish Round Tower, an unexpected and eye-catching sight in the United States. Towering over an otherwise unassuming cemetery, this mystical structure was built in the late 1800s by Father Patrick Cuddihy as a memorial to the many Irish immigrants who had settled in Milford. Inspired by the medieval stone watchtowers he admired as a young man in Ireland, Father Cuddihy hoped Irish-Americans from across the country would one day make a pilgrimage to see his creation. Constructed from pink granite, the tall, slender tower features windows near the top that evoke the fairy-tale charm of Rapunzel’s watchtower. On one side, a small pond adds to the serene atmosphere, while on the other, a mysterious cave partially obscured by a boulder hints at hidden secrets. Surrounded by trees, the area offers a peaceful and contemplative spot to explore, making it likely one of the only towers of its kind in North America.
Before heading home, enjoy one last authentic Irish meal at Arigna Irish Pub & Coal Fire Kitchen — because no St. Patrick’s weekend is complete without a proper plate of corned beef and cabbage.
