Spring Break-away

4 days/3 nights

Day 1:

  • Spring means it’s time to get back outside! Head on over to the StART Line Experience and enjoy their self-guided marathon art exhibit. Watch the marathon from many great spots in MetroWest such as the start line in Hopkinton, the Ashland State park, Waverly Street near the railroad station, and about the 6-mile mark in Framingham. The crowd thins out from Union Avenue to the Natick line.
  • After that, take a deep breath of summer at one of the region’s eight state park recreation areas, like Hopkinton State Park whose 1,500 acres are crisscrossed by hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking trails around a boating lake with beaches, stocked fishing, and more.
  • Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head on over to Lalos Mexican Restaurant for some mouthwatering tacos or quesadillas.
  • When it’s time to relax, spend your nights at the Sheraton Framingham, with amenities the whole family will love.

Day 2:

  • Grab a hearty and delicious breakfast at one of the Muffin House Cafes before heading over to see the lions and tigers and bears, oh my! at Southwick’s Zoo in the little town of Mendon. They’ve welcomed snow leopards this spring, as well as a new carousel, so plan on a full day of fun.

  • Not enough gaming? Try Level99 in Natick, a whole new take on escape rooms with mental and physical challenges and puzzles for the whole family. Once everyone is good and tired, reward yourself with delicious scratch cooking and craft beer in their taproom.

  • Spend the afternoon at Urban Air, where the kids can (literally!) swing from the rafters and climb the walls, then jump, swoop, slide, and swing to their hearts content.
