June is a month of celebration, reflection, and community across MetroWest Boston and beyond. From colorful Pride festivals that honor and uplift the LGBTQ+ community to meaningful Juneteenth events commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and celebrating Black history, culture, and resilience, there are countless opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate together. Whether you’re looking for family-friendly activities, live music, local vendors, educational programs, or inspiring performances, here’s your guide to Pride and Juneteenth events happening throughout the region this June.

🌈 Pride Events

  • Ashland, MA:

    Monday, June 2, 2025 | 5:30 PM
    Stone Park (73 Summer Street)

    Celebrate with a Pride Flag Raising, remarks from State Rep. Jack Patrick Lewis and Ashland Town Manager Michael Herbert, plus a community rock painting activity featuring messages of inclusivity, allyship, and unity. Painted rocks will be displayed along the Trolley Brook Trail throughout June.

  • Bellingham, MA:

    Saturday, June 27, 2026 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    Bellingham Town Common

    Enjoy live music, food vendors, and a welcoming community celebration.

  • Discovery Museum:

    Saturday, June 6, 2026 | 5:00 – 8:00 PM

    Families are invited to enjoy free admission to the museum campus for an evening of networking, interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and exploration in Discovery Woods. Dinner (including a gluten-free option) will be provided. Pre-registration is required.

  • Franklin, MA:

    Saturday, June 27, 2026 | Noon – 4:00 PM
    Franklin Town Common (Rain Date: June 28)

    Bring the whole family for live music, food trucks, local vendors, nonprofit organizations, and fun activities for all ages.

  • Framingham, MA:

    The celebration begins with the Pride Progress Flag Raising from 2:00–2:50 PM at the Memorial Building, followed by the Pride Joy Walk from 2:50–3:00 PM to Out on the Block. Continue celebrating from 3:00–6:00 PM with LGBTQ+ vendors, community partners, food trucks, and live performances.

  • Holliston, MA:

  • Hopkinton, MA:

    Experience “Living in Truth,” a Moth-style storytelling event celebrating LGBTQ+ voices and experiences.

  • Sudbury, MA:

    A family-friendly afternoon featuring entertainment, food trucks, and local community organizations.

  • Worcester Art Museum:

    Enjoy free admission along with special gallery tours, a drag show, art-making activities, a color guard performance, and more.

✊ Juneteenth Events

  • Medway, MA:

    Friday, June 19 | 2:00 PM
    Bellforge Arts Center

    Presented in partnership with Medway Marches, Bellforge’s annual Juneteenth Festival celebrates Black history, culture, creativity, and excellence with live music, reflection, and community gathering.

  • MFA Boston:

    Friday, June 19

    Massachusetts residents receive free admission with a valid Massachusetts ZIP code.

  • Natick, MA:

    Thursday, June 19

    The Natick Historical Society and Natick Is United will co-host a reading of Frederick Douglass’ powerful speech, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” at 10:30 AM on Natick Common.

    From 12:00–3:00 PM, continue the celebration with the Natick Center Cultural District’s Juneteenth event featuring food, family activities, and live performances by Drum Nomads and the Squeezebox Stompers.

  • Discovery Museum:

    Wednesday, June 17 – Tuesday, June 23

    Take a self-guided stroll through the Museum’s StoryWalk featuring “Juneteenth for Mazie” by Floyd Cooper.
