Beat the summer heat and visit one of Marlborough’s two splash pads – Ghiloni Park Splash pad or Stevens Park Splash Pad. Conveniently located near playgrounds, walking trails and fields, the splash pads provide fun in the summer sun! Also nearby is Ward Park which features a half pipe skate ramp, BMX bike trail, wading pool, tennis courts, basketball courts and much more!
When everyone is hungry and tired, head on over to Evviva Trattoria for generous portions of modern Italian food sure to satisfy the family!

DAY 2:
First fuel up at the Sturbridge Coffee House. Chocolate éclair shaken espresso and a croissant cinnamon roll, anyone?
Take a walk back in time to Old Sturbridge Village, a recreated 1830s rural New England town. Explore the 200+ acres and 40 historical buildings and chat with costumed historians as they work the tasks of the past. Marvel at the 40,000 artifacts that were made or used by rural New Englanders between 1790 and 1840. This is a day to remember.
End your day with a meal at the Bullard Tavern in Old Sturbridge Village, a comfortable cafeteria style served in an 18th century atmosphere.
DAY 3:
Start your morning at the Donut Stand in Hopkinton. Serving craft donuts and sandwiches made from local ingredients, there is something for the whole family.
Continue to New England’s largest zoo, Southwick’s Zoo! There is always something new to explore at the home to over 850 exotic animals. Enjoy their summer concert series at the Savanna Grille or come to visit for Christmas in July where you can experience the magic of the holiday season in the midst of summer! Be sure to ride the new carousel.
Finish up with a delectable meal at Galliford’s overlooking the zoo. Enjoy a refreshing cocktail on the outdoor patio or try one of their specials featuring fresh seasonal ingredients. Check the schedule, as they have weekly live music throughout the summer.
