Remembrance & Renewal: Memorial Day Weekend

Day 1:

  • Unwind with a laid-back evening at CraftRoots Brewery, featuring live music from the Electric Flannel Band and delicious eats from the Wheat & Water food truck!
  • Check in at the Doubletree in Milford, conveniently located right off Route 495. Enjoy free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, and relax by the outdoor pool. Savor a delicious meal and lively music at Legends, their in-house sports themed restaurant and bar.

Day 2:

  • Spend the day honoring U.S. military personnel at the American Heritage Museum, where you can dive into World War II history through captivating tank demonstrations, rare armored vehicle displays, and immersive re-enactor camps. Tank rides and tank driving are also available for an additional cost.
  • Dig into a delicious, healthy grilled veggie panini at Good Earth Holistic Kitchen. Then, grab a sweet treat at Harvard Sweet Boutique.  Be sure to check out their extensive line of gluten free and vegan goodies!

Day 3:

  • Take a drive to Sudbury and be enchanted by the schoolhouse from “Mary had a Little Lamb” as well as the historic grist mill and chapel at the Wayside Inn.
  • Then, head over to Duck Soup, a general store that specializes in “a little bit of everything”. With a changing line up of products, there is something new to discover each time you visit.
  • Treat yourself to a meal at Oak Barrel Tavern and dig into a Bavarian Pretzel and a mouthwatering Chicken Parm Sandwich or the crowd favorite Truffle Mac and Cheese!

Day 4:

  • Start your Memorial Day with a tasty bagel from Elizabeth’s Bagels and don’t forget one of their specialty honey bee lattes before heading to the Franklin Memorial Day Parade, stepping off at 11 AM and making its way through the heart of the Franklin Cultural District.
