Ready, Set, FUN!

DAY 1:

  • In honor of the time-honored tradition of the running of the Boston Marathon on Patriot’s Day, visit the Winged Foot Art Exhibit on the Hopkinton Town Common. A unique art exhibition and auction of 26-winged feet painted by regional artists with their interpretation of the spirit of the marathon. The exhibition will be on display at the town common from April 4th through the 26th creating a beautiful public art display connecting the community and visitors alike. Be sure to stop by and bid on your favorite!
  • Check out the StART Line Experience, an immersive, self-guided, art and education tour of the marathon legend sculptures in Hopkinton, a marathon art exhibit at the Hopkinton Center for the Arts which is on display from April 18 – April 26. Download the map and begin at the newly installed, The Girl Who Ran, by Bobbi Gibb, artist and first woman to run the Boston Marathon. From there, visit each sculpture and scan a QR code to learn more about the artist and the sculpture.
  • View the Marathon Mural at the Hopkinton Public Library, a signature piece celebrating the spirit of the marathon by artist Faith Sycaoyao, a photo opportunity that you do not want to miss!
  • Then, go enjoy some Start Line Nachos or a juicy cheeseburger paired with an IPA from Start Line Brewing for dinner.
  • Check into the Courtyard by Boston Natick where you can enjoy pet friendly hotel rooms featuring Netflix capable 55-inch flat screen TVs, pillowtop mattresses and plush bedding.

DAY 2:

  • Enjoy the fresh spring air and partake in some of MetroWest Boston’s incredible outdoor spaces. Reveal in the 1,500 acres of forest crisscrossed by hiking trails at Hopkinton State Park or the 575 acres of calm woodland reserve at Ashland Town Forest.
  • Snag a meal at the Ashland Ale House where they offer a variety of hearty fares! From Flatbreads to Cajun Chicken pasta, there is something from everyone here.
  • Catch a show at The Center for the Arts in Natick. Acclaimed contemporary folk singer-songwriters Antje Duvekot and David Berkeley will take the stage in a cozy, intimate evening of rich storytelling, soulful melodies, and heartfelt acoustic performances.

 

DAY 3:

  • Start your day at Zaftigs Delicatessen with a mouthwatering apple and cheddar omelette or indulge in their rich, fluffy challah French toast for a comforting breakfast.
  • Join the Natick Center Cultural District on Marathon Monday for music and activities near the gazebo on Natick Common. Rock & Run at Mile 10 will feature Natick’s School of Rock House Band along with lively booths and festivities on the common.
