From festive holiday markets to enchanting strolls through illuminated gardens, every town offers a reason to gather, celebrate, and make memories. Whether you’re sipping hot cocoa at a seasonal event, wandering a wonderland of lights, or catching a glimpse of Santa, MetroWest Boston is brimming with magic this December.

Ashland:

  • The Holiday Stroll at the Corner Spot – Saturday, December 6th 12pm-4pm
    Celebrate the season in the heart of Ashland at The Corner Spot’s annual Holiday Stroll! It’s the perfect way to kick off the holidays—family-friendly, free, and full of small-town magic.

Bellingham:

Boylston:

  • Night Lights – New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill – November 22nd – January 4th, 2026 4-10pm daily.
    Revel in the wonder of the winter season with friends, family, and half a million lights! Enter an illuminated world where stars of the botanic garden shine, and where sparkling experiences and one-of-a-kind light displays inspire joy to last all year. It’s a celebration of nature like you’ve never seen before—bright, bold, and full of dazzle.

Concord:

  • The Umbrella Winter MarketThe Umbrella Arts Center – December 5th 12pm-5pm, December 6th 10am-5pm and December 7th 11am-4pm. Annual three-day celebration of hand-crafted fine art, come in from the cold to stroll The Umbrella’s three sunlit floors of open studios and galleries, featuring the exhibitions off the wall (small works of Umbrella Studio Artists) and Joy & Peace (abstract paintings by Christiane Corcelle and Jill Goldman-Callahan). Select a treat from Concessions, then savor the creativity on display at the Holiday Ceramics Sale, in Open Studios, and at Guest Artisans’ tables brimming with pieces ready to become unique, unforgettable gifts for you and your loved ones.

Framingham:

  • Caroling on the Common – Village Hall on the Common – Sunday, December 7th, 4pm-6pm. Caroling, Crafts and Cheer.
  • German Christmas Market – Jack’s Abby – December 6th & 7th and 13th & 14th, 100 Clinton St. The outdoor market will feature 12 unique vendors each weekend, offering a rotating selection of handcrafted goods, holiday treats, and locally made gifts—perfect for finding something special this season. They will also be serving mulled wine, hot hard cider, and hot chocolate!
  • 34th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony & Block Party – Friday, December 5th, 5-7:30pm, Memorial Building Plaza & Union Avenue.

Franklin:

Hopedale:

  • 14th annual Hopedale Winter Stroll & Shop Hop – Saturday, December 6th Noon – 7pm along Hopedale and Dutcher Streets.
    Features local vendors, historic buildings, food & drinks and ending with a tree lighting and visit from Santa.

Hopkinton:

  • The Santa Experience at Hopkinton Center for the Arts – Saturday, December 6th 10am-3:30pm
    Set in the delightful Santa’s Workshop housed in HCA’s white farmhouse, this event promises to capture the holiday spirit through great photo opp’s and engaging activities that will enchant families and inspire creativity.
  • Hopkinton Center for the Arts Holiday Marketplace – Saturday, December 6th, 10am – 3pm, 90 Hayden Rowe St. The Holiday Marketplace is the perfect place to get into the festive spirit while shopping for one-of-a-kind gifts for family, friends, or yourself!
  • Caroling on the Common – Saturday, December 6th, 1pm – 5pm, 6 Hayden Rowe St. Experience the joy of Caroling on the Common. Enjoy holiday festivities, food trucks, and meet Santa for free photos.
  • The Nutcracker at Hopkinton Center for the Arts – Saturday, December 13th and Sunday, December 14th
    This holiday, let your imagination soar as HCA Dance proudly presents The Nutcracker Ballet—a timeless tale of wonder, brought to life by a cast of over 35 talented dancers under the graceful direction of Dance Director Jessica Wilson.
  • Treblemakers Holiday Concert at Hopkinton Center for the Arts – Saturday, December 13th and Sunday, December 14th
    The holiday season wouldn’t be complete without music that warms the heart and brings people together. Join the Treblemakers Community Chorus for their beloved Annual Holiday Concert at HCA.

Hudson:

  • Hudson Holiday Stroll – Saturday, December 6th, 3-7pm, Main Street. Experience the magic of the 2025 Hudson Holiday Stroll!  Enjoy a winter wonderland as downtown Hudson comes alive with festive fun.  Stop by Hudson Town Hall for free photos with Santa and to meet and shop with local vendors, enjoy live music, and pick up an event map with schedules and location details. Enjoy a leisurely sleigh ride on horse-drawn carriages, visit our adorable petting zoo at Main Street Bank, and watch aerial cirque performances at the rotary. Treat yourself to delicious bites from local restaurants and food trucks, including favorites like Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant, Rail Trail Flatbread Co., Welly’s Restaurant, Kith & Kin, and Café 641.  Explore offerings from the Hudson Girl Scouts, Earth & Aerial Yoga, Serendipity, and many more local businesses and organizations throughout downtown.

Marlborough:

  • Photos with Santa – Solomon Pond Mall, 601 Donald Lynch Blvd., Daily through December 24th. Weekdays 2pm – 7pm and Weekends 11am – 7pm.

Medway:

Mendon:

  • Southwick’s Zoo Winter WonderlandNovember 21st – December 29th (Thursday – Sunday) 5pm – Close.
    Take a magical journey through Southwick’s Zoo with friends and family to view spectacular holiday lights and handcrafted displays.

Milford:

  • Christmas Tree Lighting – Friday, December 5th, 5:30pm – 7pm. Draper Memorial Park. Hot chocolate, brownies, cookies, photos with Santa, sing along and tree lighting.

  • Frosty Festival at the EcoTariumSaturday and Sunday, December 6 & 7, 10am – 5pm. Fun, winter-themed educational programs all day long!  Visits with Santa and some of your favorite winter movie characters!  A puppet show by Pumpernickel Puppets, acapella caroling by the Clark Bars, face painting, holiday photo opportunities, and seasonally decorated train rides (extra ticket required)!
