About Us Visitors Guide Tour Operators Meeting/Events

Voting is underway for the 2023 MyFM Quest for the Best Contest! Vote for your favorite businesses today!

Within Massachusetts there is an extremely unique region.  It’s simply the “sweet-spot” between Boston, Worcester, and Providence and it’s served by only one locally owned and operated radio station–MyFM 101.3.  This area is teeming with unique shopping locales, premier restaurants and a wide variety of businesses all vying to position themselves as local favorites. But only an elite few can win the right to call themselves the best.

Who runs the best salon and spa? Where are the best places for entertainment? Who is the most trusted mechanic or the most gentle dentist? And of course, where can you get the best Bloody Mary?

Over 1,500 local businesses have been nominated in this year’s Quest and the voting will run through May 31st.  As a partner of MyFM, the MetroWest Boston Visitors Bureau encourages you to vote! Whether you’re an owner, an employee, a customer or a fan, this is your opportunity to let your voice be heard.

Visitors may cast one vote per category – and are invited to return every day through May 31st to support their favorite local businesses. As with any competition, credibility is vital, and so the entire voting process will be handled by a third party.

For businesses, it’s a welcome opportunity to get their names on customers’ lips after the challenges in recent years. MyFM Media president Tom McAuliffe II said the timing of the contest couldn’t be better, adding that Quest for the Best presents the perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on the businesses throughout the region that have endured, innovated and found new and better ways to serve their customers.

Gold and silver award winners will be crowned in eleven categories representing over 260 different products and services:

  • Activities and entertainment
  • Food and beverage
  • Home and garden
  • Lifestyle and beauty
  • Real estate
  • Services
  • Shopping
  • Vehicles & Services

Winners will be published online and in the Quest for the Best Magazine in early September.

MyFM Media plans to publish over 15,000 copies of the glossy, full-color volume that will be distributed throughout the region. Along with showcasing the winners, the magazine is designed to serve as a guidebook for both locals and visitors seeking the very best that the area has to offer.

“We live in the best region of the world because we’re not quite Boston, not quite Worcester and not quite Providence,” McAuliffe said. “We have access to those three wonderful cities, but truly everything we need is right here, and that’s why this is where we all choose to live, work and play.”

MyFM Media champions entrepreneurship and recognizes that many people in the community are connected to small businesses in one way or another, whether it’s the people we know that work for them or the people who own them. McAuliffe said their Got Local-Buy Local initiatives connect perfectly with the contest to celebrate the businesses and people that have worked so hard to keep the local economy strong and the community safe.

McAuliffe said the community, particularly the business community, is hungry for a large-scale promotional opportunity. By combining all of the MyFM Media platforms, their impressive social media following, and with the reach of MyFM 101.3 – the only radio station truly serving the region – In three short year’s the MyFM Quest for the Best Contest has become the biggest contest of its kind that the area has ever seen.
